Nasturtium Indian Chief

by Maureen Sullivan on January 18, 2016

Full sun. To 10 feet. Habit: trailing. Indian Chief has deep blue-green leaves and bright red-orange flowers. The plant is edible, use its peppery tasting flowers and leaves to spice up your salads. Avoid adding too much nitrogen fertilizer to your planting as this will reduce flower bud production and encourage soft foliage growth. Grow in moist but well drained soil.
