Rice Burgundy

by Maureen Sullivan on April 17, 2014

Full sun.  24 inches.  Rice is an easy plant to grow.  Although it is commonly grown as an agricultural crop in paddies, it does best in a moist, well drained fertile soil, as do most other garden plants.  The foliage of Bugundy rice, is upright and  burgundy red in color.  Seed heads appear late in the season.  Use as a strong upright element in containers or in the border.
