Thyme German

Full sun.  6 to 8 inches.  German thyme is the standard for culinary thyme.  It has intense essential oils.  Cut the plant back when it begins to flower, this will keep it from getting woody and will provide you with a second flush of soft stems and leaves. Thyme is very easy to dry.  Just tie in bunches and hang in a dry place.  Thyme will eventually become woody and need to be replanted.
